Budget and channel mix
I would start at $35,000 a month and earn the rest.
Fifty thousand is the ceiling, not the plan. Search and mail in Florida and South Carolina take the bulk. Television, social, and display are small tests that get more only when the first quarter proves them. Pick a monthly budget.
How the totals are built
What each channel does
Five channels, one scorecard.
These are published 2026 benchmarks and your average premium of $3,614 from Slide's second-quarter 2026 results. Where no published rate exists, the source line says so.

Timeline
Measure first, then spend, then move the money.
January to MarchEvery quote tagged to its source. Search and remarketing live in Florida and South Carolina.
April to JuneTelevision test opens in one new-state metro. First mail wave to spring buyers.
July to SeptemberHurricane season. Awareness keeps running. New-business ads pause in any county under a storm watch.
October to DecemberRenewal-window remarketing to everyone who quoted in the first half. New-state search gets its full budget.
Search and mail show results in weeks, television and social in quarters.
Remarketing: Florida and South Carolina
Win back people who got a quote and did not buy.
Past quoters answer mail at more than twice the rate of strangers.
Past quoters get a postcard a week after their quote, and a second one when their current policy comes up for renewal.
Source: $0.80 per piece from the direct mail benchmarks reported by directmail.io. The 5 percent response is the low end of the 5 to 9 percent house-list response in the 2025 ANA/DMA report, from the same source. The 15 percent quote-to-policy rate is the top of the published direct-to-consumer range. 2,000 postcards a month is a placeholder until you share how many past quotes you hold.
Creative and messaging
Four messages, each with a home.
Pick a message.
A 30-second connected television spot built on the Buccaneers and Lightning partnerships, with the A rating on screen.
Search and social ads that show the choices a homeowner makes, under your own line: your home insurance, your terms.
Short social videos from the storm center and the adjusters in the days after an event. Real footage only.
A postcard and an email with the address they quoted on the front and a scannable code that reopens their quote.
Affinity partnerships
Partners get paid for marketing, never for a policy.
Each partner puts Slide in front of homeowners at the moment they need a policy. Pick a partner type.
Who
Mortgage lenders, title companies, and real estate brokerages on the Florida and South Carolina coast.
The moment
Every buyer needs proof of insurance before closing, often with a week or two to find it.
How it works
The partner adds a Slide quote link to its closing checklist and buyer emails. Each partner gets its own link, so every quote traces back to them.
What Slide pays
A flat monthly fee for the advertising space, at market rate. Federal real estate settlement law bans paying for referrals, so the fee never depends on how many buyers quote or buy.
States
Florida and South Carolina first, then Texas and Rhode Island once direct quotes run there.
Who
Homebuilders selling new homes in coastal counties, and condominium associations.
The moment
New-home buyers need a policy at closing. Condo owners need their own unit policy on top of the association's.
How it works
Builders list Slide as a preferred carrier in the buyer packet and sales center. Associations put a Slide unit-owner offer in the welcome packet and newsletter.
What Slide pays
A flat sponsorship fee for the packet and newsletter space. A group discount is offered only where it is filed with the state.
States
Florida and South Carolina.
Who
The Buccaneers and Lightning, which Slide already sponsors, plus one local team or brand in South Carolina.
The moment
Fans are already watching, and the Tampa sponsorships are already paid for.
How it works
A quote code on the stadium screens and in the team apps, and a Slide offer in the season-ticket-holder email. Each placement has its own code.
What Slide pays
Activation of the sponsorships you already have. A new South Carolina partner gets a flat sponsorship fee.
States
Florida now, with one test in South Carolina.
Who
Large coastal employers such as hospital systems and school districts, plus credit unions and alumni associations.
The moment
Open enrollment, when employees are already choosing benefits.
How it works
Home insurance listed as a voluntary benefit on the employer's benefits platform, with a group landing page and a discount filed with the state.
What Slide pays
A flat fee for access to the benefits platform or newsletter, never per policy.
States
Every state where you quote direct.
Every partnership starts as a 90-day test with one partner, measured by its own link or code. Every piece carries the licensed company name, and unlicensed partners never quote or bind.
Insurance compliance
What every campaign has to clear.
YesCan we use enhanced conversions for leads?
Insurance is not one of Google's sensitive categories. Your privacy policy has to say quote details are shared with ad partners to measure ads, and federal privacy law for financial companies allows it with that notice and a data contract in place.
Google onlyCan we target by age or household income?
Meta and Microsoft ban age and other demographic targeting for insurance ads. Google allows it, but the plan leaves it off, because age and income stand in for protected traits.
YesDoes the quote form need a notice?
A line under the submit button links to the privacy policy and says the information can be used for advertising. Calls and texts get their own checkbox.

Rules for every piece
PlatformsMeta treats home insurance as a housing ad
Every Meta campaign runs in the housing category: no age or gender targeting, no ZIP codes, a 15-mile minimum radius, and no lookalike audiences.
PlatformsSearch targeting
Google's housing policy doesn't list home insurance, so county and city targeting stays on. Microsoft bars insurance advertisers from using age, gender, or location to personalize or segment ads, so Bing targets whole states only.
In every adLicensed company name
Every ad, postcard, and partner piece names the Slide company that writes the policy.
In every adGifts and giveaways
Florida caps promotional gifts at $100 per person per calendar year. South Carolina has its own rebating rules.
In every adRating claims
When an ad cites the A rating, it names Demotech as the rater.
With partnersFiled discounts only
A group discount is filed with the state before any ad mentions it. That means the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
CaliforniaCalifornia is surplus lines
California ads go through brokers and never imply the state guarantee fund backs the policy.
Customer dataCustomer data
Quote details stay out of partner hands and ad tracking unless the privacy notice and opt-out federal law requires are in place.
Customer dataEmail, calls, and texts
Email carries an unsubscribe link and a mailing address. Automated calls and texts need written consent first.
